Legal
Privacy notice
Last updated: 2026-10-10
This notice covers this website, twonorthstudios.com. It explains what we collect when you visit, send an enquiry or book a call, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Our RemTab app has its own privacy policy.
1. Who we are
Two North Studios is an app and web studio based in Manchester, UK. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. You can reach us at info@twonorthstudios.com.
2. What we collect, and why
When you send an enquiry
The contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional company name, the type of project, a rough budget and a message. We use these only to reply and to talk with you about your project. We do not add you to a mailing list.
The form is delivered by Web3Forms, which emails your enquiry to us and keeps its own copy for 30 days before deleting it. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before any contract.
When you book a call
Bookings are handled by Cal.com. It collects your name, email address, time zone and anything you add to the booking notes, and sends us the booking. Cal.com only loads when you press a booking button, and it may set its own cookies at that point. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before any contract.
Analytics, only if you accept
If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are, what kind of device they use, which site sent them and which buttons get pressed. We use this to improve the site. Our legal basis is your consent.
If you decline, Google Analytics is never loaded and none of this is collected. You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
What happens automatically
- Hosting. Our host, Netlify, processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver the pages and keep the site secure.
- Fonts. The site’s typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser sends its IP address to Google to fetch them. No cookies are set for this.
Our legal basis for both is our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website.
3. Cookies and similar storage
- Your cookie choice. We remember whether you accepted or declined in your browser’s local storage, under the name
tns-consent. It stays until you clear your browser data. This is needed to respect your choice, so it does not require consent. - Google Analytics (only if you accept). Cookies whose names start with
_ga, which last up to two years and tell one visit from another. Declining later removes them. - Cal.com (only if you open the booking window). Cal.com may set its own cookies to run the booking form.
We do not use advertising cookies.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising. It is handled on our behalf by the services that run this site:
- Web3Forms, which delivers contact form enquiries.
- Cal.com, which runs call bookings.
- Google, which provides Google Analytics and Google Fonts.
- Netlify, which hosts the website.
- Our email provider, where enquiries and booking confirmations arrive.
Some of these services process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and bookings that do not become a project are deleted within two years of our last contact with you.
- If you become a client, we keep project correspondence for as long as we work together, and the records we need for tax and accounting for six years after that.
- Web3Forms deletes its copy of an enquiry after 30 days.
- Google Analytics keeps visit data for up to 14 months.
6. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your information
- stop or limit how we use it
- send it to you in a form you can take elsewhere
You can also withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
To use any of these rights, email info@twonorthstudios.com. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
7. Changes to this notice
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top.
